This is a great useful web site – The Celebration Concert will be a great event with traditional & modern Christmas music & song.
The church will have 40 decorated and lit up Christmas trees inside,

Having just read Gwens report on her holiday in Kent I would like to add my views!
I was born in Kent ( just outside Canterbury )
When I lived there as a married woman my husband and I would visit Rye every year as we found it a very interesting place to be.
It is one of the original Cinque ports and was mentioned in the Cinque Ports charter from 1155.
It has many ancient and interesting buildings from it`s eventful past ie: The Tower (castle) and the Landgate which leads into the once walled town.
It has a very calm and unhurried atmosphere as you wander through it`s cobbled streets and see the medieval church and many preserved historic houses from Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times.
It also,now, has a Heritage and information centre to help visitors find the best of Rye.
I hope Gwen has a chance to visit Rye again and will see it from my eyes too.
